Dharma Teachings

KTD offers an ongoing schedule of buddhist teachings and practice retreats as taught by our Karma Kagyu meditation masters. Most teachings are given in Tibetan language with an English translation. Accommodation and meals are available, pre-registration is required for all programs. Students should make reservations for teachings and accommodations online, by e-mail at office@kagyu.org, or by calling the front office at 845-679-5906 ext. 1071. A non-refundable deposit of $30 is required for all teaching program reservations. KTD members receive 20% discount on teachings and accommodations. For information and a membership form, visit the membership section of the site. Cancellation Policy.

Dharma students and visitors to the monastery may want to read the section on "Dharma etiquette", which gives detailed and helpful information on shrine-room protocol; interviews, teachings, and empowerments; offerings; and proper attire. Other pages of interest include biographies of our Teachers and KTD faculty, and reservation and travel information.
